Avocado Grafting, 10 AM - 12 PM

 

In this hands on class you will learn the basics of grafting avocado trees. After the class demonstration each student will practice grafting 1-2 specimens on their own and return to check on the plant's progress at a future date.

 

Please bring gloves & shears or a packet knife for stripping tree bark. A hat is also recommended. 

 

Class starts at 10:00 AM sharp and should end around noon – please arrive early so class may start on time.  

      

Taught by Sal Oattenwalder. Space is limited. Members who sign up in advance will get priority on any handouts.

Throughout the year we host on site workshops to teach members about methods to propogate, grow and care for rare tropical plants and trees. Classes are free for members or $25 for non-members.

Join us for a fun and informative cooking class at the Rare Fruit + Vegetable Council. Participants will learn to cook tasty and nutritious dishes featuring locally grown, seasonal vegetables.
